When You Should Consider COBRA
SecureMed is an individual health insurance plan. Individual health insurance plans do not cover pre-existing conditions. COBRA is a continuation of your former employer's group health insurance plan, and as such covers pre-existing conditions, as well as coverage for maternity and may have other benefits not offered in an individual health insurance plan.
If anyone in your family has pre-existing conditions, you should consider covering that person through the higher cost COBRA.
