CareerConnection has established regular and special workshops on a variety of topics relevant to both Associate and Sustaining members. Each week, CareerConnection offers various workshops for the member: Resume Review, Take Control of your Job Search, DFW HealthConnections, WebSchool, Researching Companies, and then special interest Speakers.
The Resume Workshop is offered on a regular basis in theTuesday General Session...11AM - NOON. Resume Workshop leader Don Brock, details the basics in developing a resume that highlights the successes of each participant. The How to Control Your Job Search to Get the Job You Want is a live walk-through workshop with hand-outs that promote Best Practices in your journey. Join Don Brock and learn to control your job search rather having the process control you.
WebSchool....How to Optimize your Successes using our new technology! If you can use CareerBuilder or Monster...the career connection technology is your TOOL for successful JOB SEEKING. Learn from the pro-herself: Lisa Miller. The class is held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month.
"All CMG Leadership Meeting" ...this specialty group consists of all the Key Leaders of the career management groups, The purpose of this monthly meeting is to add highlights and enhancements to the regular meetings and create continuity amongst Leaders.

Open Forum Friday... Front Porch casual style of answering each member’s individual questions in a safe environment. The focus of Open Forum Fridays is to give each participant a forum to resolve any challenge in the job search, networking or career management spheres. Each weekly meeting is facilitated by LISA MILLER, Executive Director of CareerConnection, and provides for a comfortable way to get answers to perplexing issues. Open Forum Fridays meets from 9:30 to 11:30 in Room 219.
CareerConnection also offers a number of ad hoc programs that assist with all phases of career management. Whether your goal is to join a new company or start your own, programs are provided to meet each member’s needs.
